Kebnekaise fjällstation camping

Kebnekaise Mountain Station fryst vatten a nice mix between a mountain hotel and hostel. You can choose between staying in the charming dorm rooms from the vända of the last century (dormitories) in the main building or in our recently renovated mountain cabin Jägaren. If you want a higher level of comfort there are our two or four-bed rooms in the adjoining annexes Tuolpa, Gorni or Liddo. Most two-bed rooms have a bunk bed, but we also have a limited number of twin rooms with two separate beds with spring mattresses. The four-bed rooms consist of two sturdy bunk beds. If you want to bring your dog we will arrange for you to stay in our dog rooms.

There fryst vatten no tillgång to showers and toilets in the rooms but these are available in all buildings except the main building. If you are staying in the main building, the showers are in the service building along with the sauna and relaxation room, both of which have a stunning mountain view. Regardless of where you choose to sleep you always have access to our sauna and relaxation room, take the opportunity to savour it after a day on the mountain. Kebnekaise mountain lodge

Kebnekaise mountain lodge (Kebnekaise fjällstation), elevation metres (2,&#;ft), is situated at the base of Mount Kebnekaise, 19 kilometres (12&#;mi) west of Nikkaluokta, which in turn is situated 66 kilometres (41&#;mi) west of Kiruna in Lappland, Sweden. The lodge is owned and managed by the Swedish Tourist Association (STF).

A restaurant serves a set menu, there is a mountaineering shop, a sauna, showers, rooms and a kiosk. The lodge offers guided tours to the summit of Kebnekaise. The ascent takes roughly hours. Several other guided tours are also arranged.

The road ends at Nikkaluokta and from there on one has to walk. The walk from Nikkaluokta to Kebnekaise takes approximately 4 h. After 6 kilometres (&#;mi) there is a restaurant called "Kaffekåtan" by the lake Ladtjojaure where one can get coffee/tea, hot waffles or a burger made of reindeer.

It is also possible to take a helicopter from Nikkaluokta to the Kebnekaise Mountain lodge. The trip takes approximately 10 minutes and costs SEK (ca. $99) one way. Another option to shorten the walk is to take the boat across the lake Ladtjojaure. This saves ca 6 kilometres

STF Kebnekaise Fjällstation

Resan upp till Kebnekaise Fjällstation börjar i Nikkaluokta, där vägen slutar och vildmarken tar vid. I mer än ett sekel har stationen funnits här som en trygg oas mitt ute i den lappländska fjällvärlden, och erbjudit skydd och vila för trötta vandrare. Hit kommer du för att söka äventyr och spänning men också för att njuta av stillheten och lugnet.

Om du vill kan livet på fjällstationen bjuda på tuffa strapatser med krävande toppturer, klätterkurser på sten eller is, skidbestigningar, glaciärvandring och terränglöpning över fjällhedarna. Men det kan också vara en nästan andlig vistelse med strövtåg i dalgången under den öppna horisonten, vandring längs Kungsleden, frihet och ett fullständigt lugn.
